one of the keys to understand jamaica is to go to that huge market in kingston, where all the peasants are flocking to on fridays and saturdays,this is an unbelievable place full of life and activity ,the whole kingston and suburbs is coming to shop on saturday morning , it is a tradition for many hoiusewives to go there .. it is a very busy place ,full of crops and colours and all the fruits and vegetables from the island can be found there,,besides that this is the cheapest market in jamaica.. in this place the people are just normal and nobody is harassing the foreigners.. you can drink coconut jellies for half euro and take as many pictures you want..it is best still to go there in small groups not to be separated by the crowd.. this part of town closed to parade is full of business where people from all over the island come to buy wholesale articles, so this is a very commercial area absolutely safe, a very interesting place to understand the real jamaica..if you need a guide to go there from ocho rios or st ann s bay or runaway bay, you can email me at: rootsmystory@yahoo.com or call me at: 313 7539
